My Ledger: install and manage apps on your Ledger device

My Ledger is the area of Ledger Wallet used to manage supported blockchain applications on a connected Ledger hardware device.

How to open My Ledger

Open the official Ledger Wallet app

Use the current desktop or mobile Ledger Wallet application.

Open My Ledger

Navigate to the My Ledger section from the application interface.

Connect and unlock your device

Connect the hardware wallet and enter its PIN on the physical device.

Allow access if prompted

If the Ledger screen asks whether My Ledger may access the device, read the prompt and approve it on the hardware device.

Use the app catalog

Search for the blockchain app you need and choose Install. The hardware device may show a processing message while installation completes.

What a device app does

A blockchain app on the Ledger device enables the hardware signer to work with a particular blockchain or protocol family. Installing or removing a device app is different from adding or removing an account from the Ledger Wallet interface.

Removing an app does not erase blockchain assets

Blockchain assets are recorded on their networks, not stored inside the app icon on the Ledger hardware device. Still, before changing device configuration, keep your backup information secure and follow current official documentation for your model.

Keep installation inside official Ledger Wallet

Do not install “Ledger device apps” from random websites or browser download prompts.

Official reference

Ledger’s support articles describe the My Ledger flow as: open My Ledger, connect and unlock the device, permit access when asked, find an app in the catalog and choose Install.
